Project Description:

This $65-million total renovation of the historically significant Roosevelt Hotel, which encompasses a full city block adjacent to Grand Central Terminal in Midtown Manhattan, was completed in 1998.

The challenge was to renovate and modernize all 1,013 guestrooms and suites, two ballrooms, and seventeen meeting rooms; to make the hotel ADA compliant and to restore the grandeur of the Italian Renaissance façade, the gilt lined neoclassical lobby and the elaborately appointed tea room.  Hotels Magazine described the renovation of the Roosevelt Hotel completed by WBTA as “luxury on a large scale”.
